Did this tour with our five-year-old daughter. We had great weather, but it was a huge benefit to have indoor space and a toilet on board. We only had two other groups with us so plenty of space on the boat, which was really nice. Definitely recommend.

Took this cruise with my mother and daughter. We had a nice time and our captain was very fun and engaging. I would have liked more historical details offered without having to ask, but he did know when we asked. All in all, it was a fun time!

Loved this Amsterdam canal cruise! The boat was a retired royal vessel, which made the experience feel extra special and unique.We spent about 1.5 hours cruising through the canals at a relaxed pace—beautiful views, great atmosphere. Definitely recommend if you want something beyond the typical tour.

I was a tad disappointed when my wife and I discovered that our cruise would not be led by Capt. Dave, but instead by his friend Gisella. But Gisella (apologies if I've spelled this incorrectly) gave our small group - two other couples and a family with two teenagers - a fantastic tour. She shared lots of history of the city and the canals, and was receptive to questions. The boat provided some delicious sweet breads and various beverages. It also helped that the boat was heated - it was a pretty chilly morning in Amsterdam. Overall, it felt like a richer experience than we would have received on one of the larger boats that offer cruises of the canals.

Jan made the tour super fun with all his interesting facts and humor. He was funny, and knowledgeable. I went solo and felt very comfortable in the group, and very much enjoyed the experience. The evening tour was a great time to go out with the sunset. The boat was beautiful and the scenery was even better. I recommend this tour and Jan as your tour guide!

This was absolutely wonderful. My girlfriend and I enjoyed a glass of Sauvignon Blanc while Okke, one of the other captains of the ship, cruised us through the canals. The views were beautiful, Okke was extremely knowledgeable in regards to the history of the city, and the canals themselves. Overall we had a fantastic time and we hope to come back soon!

It is definitely the best canal tour in Amsterdam.Captain Dave, that has been living all his life in the city, was very nice.He showed us the most beautiful spots and he explained us the story behind each of them. He really knows each corner of the City.The boat, Jonckrvouw, built in 1928, had been before property of the Dutch Government and used by the Queen and many important personalities in the 20th century.It's a real jewelNow it's owned by Dave and it's in great shape.After this great tour you really fall in love with Amsterdam.Thank you so much Dave!See you next time!

The Amsterdam Light Festival Cruise with Captain Dave was truly a magical experience. Our captain navigated the boat, which, despite its nearly 100 years, is still in impeccable condition, with remarkable skill. The intimate atmosphere of the small tour, with only five passengers aboard, made the experience even more special. Captain Dave, an incredibly knowledgeable and charming woman, shared her extensive insights about the city and the stunning light art, entertaining us wonderfully.Included in the price were delicious snacks and an excellent selection of beverages, which made the journey even more enjoyable.
