The early morning cruise is an exclusive cruise with quiet canals and magnificent views.
The reflection of the houses creates a dreamlike, reversed image of reality—like a natural mirror in the canal water.
My favorite time of day is cruising in the early morning. It’s magical and difficult to explain. Join us and feel the magic!
At 8:00 am, we cruise aboard the Jonckvrouw, a former 1928 Dutch government boat once used by presidents, mayors, and royalty. At 8:30 am, we take the James Bond, a former water taxi with two open areas offering 360° canal views.
Our boats are 100% electric, comfortable, with toilet on board. When the weather is nice, we open the roof and windows. When it rains, we stay dry. If it’s chilly, we have heating and extra blankets to keep you warm.
We welcome you on board and provide a unique experience that will leave you feeling amazed. Get ready to create memories of a lifetime!
Cheers,
Captain Dave
“It’s worth waking up early for”.
At 8 and 8:30 AM, we have the canals to ourselves. The city’s waking up, and the light—though past golden—is crisp and beautiful.
There’s space to breathe, take photos without the crowds, and soak up the serenity before the day begins.
With Captain Dave’s team steering the experience, guests rave about the stories, the laughter, and the feeling of being part of something truly unique.
It’s not just peaceful—it’s personal.
We cruise on two beloved boats —Jonckvrouw (8 AM) and James Bond (8:30 AM).
Jonckvrouw (1928) is a certified Varend Monument® (Navigating Heritage)—she’s one of Amsterdam’s most iconic canal boats, with elegance and history in every curve.
James Bond (1990) is her sleek counterpart —a former taxiboat designed for speed and panoramic views. With a 360° open front area.
Both boats are electric, whisper-quiet, and offer cozy lounge seating, a toilet, sliding windows, heated interior, outer deck, and extra blankets.
The choice depends on availability—but both promise an unforgettable ride.
It’s a 90-minute cruise through Amsterdam’s peaceful morning glow —guided not by scripts, but by genuine conversations and storytelling.
Your captain doubles as host and guide, keeping things relaxed, personal, and always fun.
We serve freshly brewed coffee and tea, juice, and Frisian sugar bread, a Dutch specialty to keep you cozy and nourished.
No need to pack anything but good vibes and a camera we’ll handle the rest.
Taxes? Included.
Smiles? Guaranteed.
The Early Morning cruise departs at 8:00 AM aboard Jonckvrouw, and at 8:30 AM aboard James Bond—both moored at Prinsengracht 397 in the heart of Amsterdam.
We’ll be ready on board 5 minutes before your scheduled departure.
Important: the boat is docked on the odd-numbered side of the canal. Please don’t ring canal house doorbells (unless you fancy waking up sleepy Amsterdammers).
After 90 minutes on the water, we return to the same spot.
We keep it simple and inclusive:

—Children (3–10): €31
