What our guests say
—about Captain Dave's canal Cruises
- I recently had the pleasure of taking a canal cruise in Amsterdam, and it was nothing short of delightful. Unlike the larger, more commercial cruise operations that can feel overcrowded and impersonal, this cruise offered a refreshingly intimate and relaxed experience. It's a perfect recommendation for anyone visiting the city, especially those looking to escape the hustle and bustle of tourist hotspots.read moreread lessFrank14/05/24
- We were blown away by the experience. We got Jan as our captain and he was really great, friendly, with lots of knowledge and fun facts about the city and the canals. We had smooth sailing and gorgeous spring weather. The boat had coffee, pastries and smoothies. We were 11 people on this tour all comfortably seated inside and outside. This type of small tour feels so much authentic than the bigger vessels. We were able to ask questions and Jan was engaging and so hospitable. I would 💯 recommend.read moreread lessAnabella14/05/24

- The light is best early morning, the city is empty and ..If you love history, architecture, philosophy photography and birdlife and you have a sort stay in Amsterdam or want to orientate yourself and get a feel for a city then a Canal Boat Tour is the way..the say that most of the artwork in Amsterdam lies on the Horizon...yes there is a strong out the box design culture but the refer to the art of buildings there location, foundation, design..use...its one hour and there is just to much detail for that hour. and great cafes to go relax at after then this if for you. Modest Style with all comforts to hand. I am in industry and these guys represent XXX, cultural. Pragmatic, modest, knowlegable about Amsterdam which is great, and well i suppose importantly is well appointed vessel, actually having been the Royal and City of Amsterdam's Saloon boat for VIP's in the 1960's. Now electric, silent with opening sunroof, stern outside area, internal opening sash windows all great for a photographer...what else its not a show tour...its maybe want to work out how mothers and kids ride safety in City etc. etc. Reflections, deep history on enlightenment and tolerance. These were warehouses filled with combustibles and the exist today...reflecting the trade or a noble act of patronage of new Art, not just theological. The focal point of tradesmen from across the globe. The finest woodworkers from Jakarta. Using sustainable materials for machinery...translation of the cultural and theological texts that challenged often bullying doctrines..the gobal internet of things during the Golden Age... Okay so hope that helps contribute to your experience...my name is Grant...I am a conservationist, photographer, fisherman and birdwatcher...#saxonstyles for some ideas of the arcitecture and buildings you can see.. .and remember take only good memories leave only, only your footprints...no that's in nature...be nice or go home...no...fit in or..no...be..be one.
